If the temperatures suddenly drop overnight in El Paso, then you are very likely to see the tire pressure light come on. The cold weather forces the air inside the tire to condense. This can cause you to lose several PSI in the tire. The vehicle is completely safe to drive after adding air to the tire.
You may also see the tire pressure light if there is a small leak in your tire. This leak will cause you to gradually lose air pressure in the tire over time. It is generally a good idea to get your tires replaced once they start losing air on a regular basis.
